  1. The Velvet Underground and Nico is an essential part of a vinyl collectors library, a truly seminal and unique proto-punk/noise rock album. However, I'm not here to review the album (imo it deserves 5 stars) but rather I'm here to actually review the product- The packaging was decent, when it arrived there was no damage whatsoever/5().

  4. Compilations Only one official compilation was ever released on vinyl in the UK and it is no longer available. A compilation CD, containing tracks selected by Steve Chapman and approved by Gavin & Iain, was planned for release by Sony after the individual albums had been issued. It eventually came out, after a substantial delay, in June

  7. Iain Sutherland had 2 solo albums released on Avatar and Metronome and are both highly recommended. Mixed Emotions was released in and Fandango (on cover) or Learning To Dance (on LP) released in with both Gavin and Tim featuring. Gavin also had a solo album Beat of My Heart in which I must have missed/5(3).
  8. Better Days are Coming Gavin's first solo album, Beat of My Heart, has some tasty stuff on it, including the title track, Water and Ice and Too Late to Cry, but my favourite is this one, if only for the bass vocal harmony that I can sing along to. The delightfully reflective lyric looks back to look forward and the meandering lead guitar in.
